Every year at the Manitoba Wildlife Association Becoming an Outdoors Woman event in the spring, TLF offers an opportunity for a new waterfowl hunter and a guest to participate in a mentored hunt outside of our main Ladies Mentored Hunt programming. This year we were delighted to have Juanita and her guest, Pauline, with us for a training day and field hunt in the Stonewall area. These ladies wowed us with their quick study of shotgun skills on Saturday, and seamless integration as members of the hunt party in every way through the weekend. From blind and decoy setup, to interesting and easy conversation, to cleaning birds they were a valued part of everyone's weekend! We hope they enjoyed the experience as much as we did. We spilt the group up into two fields for the hunt, and though conditions were tough, we came back with a few birds to finish with a cleaning demo and meat to take home. What a great weekend!
