September 26 & 27, 2026 - The Lac Du Bonnet area mentored hunt this year was entirely filled from the Becoming an Outdoors Woman auction fundraiser. TLF hosted 4 mentored hunters, Rachael, Leanne, Margaret, and Dawn for this experience. We also had new Lady Fowlers, Shannon and Codi, in attendance for their first mentored hunt as instructors rather than participants.

We put up with the all-day drizzle Saturday for training, and the precipitation made for a wet hunt on Sunday! Up at 4am, we headed to two different fields; mentored hunters and veteran TLF members in one, and the new TLF members and adjunct TLF members in another. The day held some challenges, but in the end there were over a dozen birds to clean, and our mentored hunters got a full waterfowling experience.
